Event Ticket Types

Ticket Types allow you to offer different ticket categories with different prices.

For example:

  • Adult: $30
  • Child: $15
  • VIP: $60

Enable Ticket Types

To use Ticket Types, enable the option on LatePoint > Settings > General > Events > Enable Ticket Types

custom ticket types

You can then enable Ticket Types for individual events, from the event’s edit screen.

enable ticket types

Note: Ticket Types Override the Event’s Price and Capacity

Once Ticket Types is enabled for a specific event, that event’s top-level Price and Capacity fields are no longer used, they’re replaced entirely by the price and capacity you set on each individual ticket type. LatePoint will show a notice on the event form confirming this once Ticket Types is turned on for that event.

Configure Ticket Types

Each Ticket Type can have its own:

  • Name
  • Price
  • Capacity (optional — leave blank/0 for unlimited)
ticket type empty

For example:

  • Adult: Price: $30, Capacity: 100
  • Child: Price: $15, Capacity: 30
  • VIP: Price: $60, Capacity: 10

Customers can select quantities for each Ticket Type when registering.

Ticket Type Capacity

Ticket Types can have their own capacity.

ticket type full

For example, an event may have:

  • Regular: 90
  • VIP: 10

A customer can purchase available tickets from each category until that category reaches its capacity. If you leave a ticket type’s capacity blank, that type has no cap.
