How to Create Payment Links in LatePoint

Payment links allow you to send customers a secure payment URL for an order. This is useful when payment was not collected during booking or when you want to request payment later.

Payment requests are available only when creating a new booking from the admin dashboard.

When a payment request is created, LatePoint generates a unique payment link, and customers can open the link and complete payment later.

Set Up the Payment Request Workflow

Before payment request emails can be sent, you need to create a workflow that triggers when a payment request is created.

  1. Go to LatePoint → Automation → Workflows
  2. Click Add New Workflow
  3. Set the event type to Payment Request Created
  4. Click Add Action
  5. Select Send Email (to customer)
  6. Customize the email template
  7. Save the workflow

Note: Without this workflow, the payment request will be created, but the customer will not receive the payment email.

Create a Payment Request

  1. Go to LatePoint → Orders → Add New
  2. Enter the booking details:
    • Service
    • Agent
    • Customer
    • Date and time
  3. In the Balance & Payments section, enable Create a Payment Request
  4. Choose the payment amount:
  • Full Price → Charges the full order amount
  • Deposit Only → Charges only the deposit amount
  • Custom Amount → Enter a custom payment amount
  1. Set a payment due date
  2. Click Create Order

Once the order is created, the workflow will automatically send the payment link to the customer.
